About VPN Guides
We write VPN reviews for regular people: what a service does, what it really costs after the first year, and who it's not right for.
Who runs this site
VPN Guides is published by Vassallo Marketing, a small US marketing company based in Big Sandy, Texas.
Why we started it
Most VPN deals advertise a monthly price that only applies to the first term. Renewal prices are often two or three times higher and buried in small print. We think people should see that number before they buy, along with the drawbacks most review sites leave out.
How we review
- We read each provider's plans, pricing, privacy policy and published audits.
- We use hands-on test results from established independent reviewers and link to them, so you can see the original data. We don't present anyone else's testing as our own.
- We show the first-year price, the renewal price and the money-back terms for every plan we mention.
- We list real limitations, including for the products we earn money from.
- We recheck prices and features regularly and update the date on each page when we do.
How we make money
We earn a commission when readers buy Norton VPN through our links. That doesn't change what you pay, and it doesn't change what we write: our Norton review includes its downsides, and our alternatives page recommends competitors we earn nothing from. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
